The 2017 Tamkang University Career Fair commenced at 10am on Wed, March 29, Tamsui Campus. It was organized jointly by the TKU Career Guidance Section and the New Taipei City Employment Service Center. This year's fair was larger in scope and size than previous years' fairs, with a total of almost 100 companies setting up stall; nearly 5,000 vacancies on offer.
Businesses from various fields participated, including technology, banking, education, entertainment, food, and service. Among the more familiar names were brands like Ding Tai Feng, Wowprime, Uniqlo, and Gjun Computer, to name just a few.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Chun-Hung Lin, noted that each year TKU holds several lectures by local businesses, practical internship courses, and career-related events, such as the Career Fair. Through such events, students get to observe first-hand the types of personnel required by businesses in various fields, and to better assess the career path suited to them.
