The 2017 TKU Alumni Spring Banquet

On March 25, 2017, the TKU Alumni Spring Banquet event kicked off at the Shao Mo Memorial Gymnasium, Tamsui Campus, at 8:50 am. Present at the banquet event were the President of TKU, Dr. Flora Chia-I Chang, and the President of the TKU World Alumni Association, Lin Chien-Hsiang, who helped get the day's activities underway. Such activities included sports events, such as baseball, softball, badminton, soccer, basketball, and darts, with over 130 alumni divided into 18 teams taking part.
Following the team sports events was an awards ceremony and a lunch banquet held at the TKU Student Activity Center. During the ceremony, alumni who had made significant contributions to their alma mater or to society in general were recognized, and presented with specially-made honor plaques.
As part of the award ceremony, alumni from the TKU Department of Electrical Engineering donated money to establish a ‘Lai You-Ren Subsidy Fund’, to encourage students to give back to the community through volunteer work and service.
