敦煌石窟藝術走進校園 帶來世界級文化饗宴

Dunhuang is a city located in Gansu Province, Western China. One of the richest sources of culture and history in China, Dunhuang has had an influence on religion, art, culture, society, music, dance, and decorative accessories. It stands as one of China's historical landmarks, along with the National Palace Museum, the Great Wall of China, and the Terracotta Warriors.

To recognize the part Dunhuang has played in culture and history, an art exhibition commenced today (March 22) at the Carrie-Chang Fine Arts Center, Tamsui Campus, and will continue until mid-April. The exhibition is called ‘Valuable Treasures from the Silk Road - An Art Exhibition on Dunhuang Culture’, and places a special focus on the Mogoa Caves, a system of 492 temples also known as the Thousand Buddha Grottoes.
