Taipei City Alumni Association's 50th Anniversary

The 10th Taipei City Alumni Association Gala was held on Mar 24, 2019. Celebrating the Association's 50th anniversary, the event comprised an evening banquet on a massive scale, featuring 60 large tables around which a wide variety of guests were seated. Such guests included the Chairperson of Tamkang University, Dr. Flora Chia-I Chang, the President of Tamkang University, Dr. Huan-Chao Keh, TKU Board of Trustees member, Dr. Wan-chin Tai, the Supervisor of the Board of Trustees, Mei-Lan Wang, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Shi-Feng Chuang, the Vice President for International Affairs, Dr. Kao-Cheng Wang, the Vice President for Lanyang Campus, Dr. Jyh-Horng Lin, the former President of TKU, Dr. Chen Ya-hong, and the former TKU President and current Chair of the Retired Tamkang Faculty Association, Dr. Lin Yun-shan.

During the Gala, a commemorative video was shown that took guests on a nostalgic journey, and was accompanied by music and dance performances. This was followed by opening remarks by Chairperson Chang, who explained that the "Taipei City Alumni Association has a long and venerable history, and is a comprehensive organization bursting with talent." She also thanked the current and all previous presidents of the Association, noting that, without their collective efforts, today there wouldn't even be a 50th anniversary to celebrate.
