The Foreign Language Department Offers 6 Different Languages Online

There are lots of different ways that we can learn English. We can learn online, go to a cram school or even find a personal tutor. Yet it is much harder to find the appropriate study materials for other languages like Latin, Spanish, Russian and Greek.

Starting from November 1st, Tamkang university will be providing an online language learning website that will provide 6 languages: Italian, Latin, French, Japanese, Spanish and Russian. A free online curriculum will be provided that can be accessed easily from your computer or smart phone.

Dean of the College of Foreign Languages, Dr.Hsi-deh Wu, stated, “In order to really show the world the uniqueness of our university, we must have more internationally-oriented goals. By giving students an opportunity to learn more foreign languages, we naturally enhance our international capabilities. For anyone interested just go to our site on Moodle and enter your student number.”

All of the curriculums provided online have been tested and approved in a practical learning atmosphere. This will become a grand resource for Tamkang University. It is estimated that only 2 years from now there will be 20 different languages available online. For interested students visit the link at http://moodle.learning.tku.edu.tw/ . Then select the “Learning Foreign Language” section and begin learning for free.
