29 TKU Scholars Listed in the New Rankings of World Top 2% Scientists

According to the latest "World's Top 2% Scientists 2023" list released by Stanford University in the United States on October 4, our university has 23 scholars honored in the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings (1960-2022)" and 13 scholars included in the "Most Influential Scientist Impact Rankings (Single Year 2022)." Among them, 7 scholars were listed on both rankings, making a total of 29 scholars included.
Among the 29 individuals who published under the name of Tamkang University, including faculty members, full-time researchers, and alumni, there are 7 individuals who concurrently made it onto both the lifetime impact rankings and the single year impact rankings of 2022. The list is as follows:
Dr. Li-Chiu Chang from Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering
Dr. Shu-Hsien Liao from Department of Management Sciences,
Dr. Chia-Chi Sun from Department of International Business,
Dr. San-Lang Wang from Department of Chemistry
Dr. Kun-Shan Wu from the Department of Business Administration
Dr. Jong-Dar Yau and Dr. I-Cheng Yeh from Department of Civil Engineering
In addition, there are 3 new entries to the rankings, with Dr. Kun-Shan Wu being particularly noteworthy for entering both rankings on his first appearance. Dr. Shu-Chuan Chen from the Department of International Tourism Management and Dr. Ming-Hsien Lee from the Department of Physics are newcomers to the single year rankings of 2022.
This list is established by Stanford University in the United States based on the world's largest abstract and citation database, Scopus, and is published by Mendeley Data, a subsidiary of Elsevier. The version released this time analyzes all Scopus author profiles up to October 1, 2023, selecting the top 2% of scientists worldwide based on citation counts up to the end of 2022. The statistical data spans from 1960 to 2022 and covers 5 major fields: Applied Science, Health Science, Natural Science, Economics and Social Science, and Humanities and Arts, including 22 main disciplines and 174 sub-disciplines.
