Culture Week Comes to TKU

Extracurricular Activities Guidance Section

The Office of Academic Affairs celebrated culture week with snacks, homemade artifacts and art pieces displayed all around campus. They successfully utilized this opportunity to advertise the goods produced by the country areas of Taiwan, representing much of the history and heritage of each county. The entire student body came together to share goods and enjoy the treats of culture week!

Guidance Counselor of the Extracurricular Activities Guidance Section, I-ting Li, expressed, “Tamkang University has a diverse makeup of alumni and student groups representing 15 different regions of Taiwan. This year they’ve come together to introduce the many different products that are difficult to find in one location. These are all of the tourist attractions that people travel around to sample and they have all gathered conveniently in one location for everyone to enjoy.” The event coordinator and second year student of the Department of Civil Engineering, Li-wei Chen, stated, “Planning for this event was three months of organizing and preparation, but I’m so glad we completed our objective. I’m very grateful to all of the professors and students for their support and I hope that everyone has a chance to enjoy all of the wonderful products.”
