TKU's Champion Incubator Center Receives AABI Incubator of the Year Award

TKU’s Champion Incubator Center has actively invested into student guidance, emphasizing young students’ ability to create new enterprises. This goal was clearly achieved on November 19th 2013, when the Financial Departments’ Champion Incubation Center received the “AABI Incubator of the Year Award”. Vice President of Administration, Po-yuan Kao, Dean of the Department of Research and Development Shung-wen Kang, and Director of the Champion Incubator Center, Ruey-shiang Shaw, went to the Taipei International Convention Center to receive the award.

From the year 1998, this university has worked together with the Financial department to develop a Business Incubation Center. Over the years it developed all of the needs for cultivating young professionals including Connecting Property Relationships and Resources, Digitally Assisted Business and Enterprise Development, Innovative Enterprise Application Contests, and Media Assistance in order to raise the competitive abilities of the students.

Shung-wen Kang stated, “We have continually strived to combine the academic world, government departments and business industries in order to bridge the gap of information, giving students a more complete learning experience. Consumers are always in need of new enterprises so by giving students a chance to work with experienced entrepreneurs, their education is always refined with current information.” The department’s future goals lie in expanding past the boundaries of Taiwan and developing a more internationally-enriched program.
