TKU Receives Great Donation from Visual Components

As modern society opens its eyes to the ever developing industrial world, the fourth industrial revolution (industry 4.0) can not be overlooked. Since 2012, Germany’s fourth industrial revolution and Taiwan’s revolution of productivity improvement have aimed at the conformity of information, software and hardware with internet to create a practical smart network. In order to meet with this challenge, Visual Components (Prefactor Tech) has made a large contribution of 4,000,000 NT worth of digital software products (Visual Components 3D Create) to Tamkang University’s Intelligent Automation and Robotics Center for the cultivation of excellent future personnel. On Nov. 26 (Thur) a ceremony was held recognizing this great contribution. The event was hosted by Flora Chia-I Chang and General Manager of Prefactor Tech, Yu-chun Chen.

Tamkang University has continually received high remarks regarding their programs in development of the latest technology and technological studies. Yu-chun Chen is an outstanding alumni, who has carefully monitored the success of TKU technology development. On Oct. 30 he visited the Intelligent Automation and Robotics Center and decided to make a generous donation. President Chang expressed, “Yu-chun Chen is an alumni from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and currently head of the Tamkang Human Resources Association. This contribution carries great meaning, speaking on the success of his career and TKU’s education program. It also speaks to his gracious generosity and his efforts to pull other TKU students into the realm of success.”

Yu-chun Chen expressed, “Visual Components is robotic simulation software system that utilizes automated computer programs. Currently the world is in need of personnel that can understand and work with these continual technological breakthroughs. This will allow students to study the simulation and get a head start on things to come.”
