Dr. Guo Wins Outstanding Research Award

The Executive Yuan Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) recently announced the recipients of the Outstanding Research Award for the 2016-17 academic year. Among the list of recipients was Dr. Guo Jong-Shenq, TKU's very own chair professor from the Department of Mathematics. This is the second time Dr. Guo has received this much-coveted award; the first time was in 2010.
The award was established to recognize exceptional scholars who partake in continued academic research or research in the area of academia and business collaboration, and who serve to lift the standard of research in Taiwan and enhance the academic standing of Taiwan internationally.
The Chair of the TKU Department of Mathematics, Dr. Huang,Yih-Huei, stated that Dr. Guo is an exceptional researcher who obtained his PhD from the Mathematics Department of the University of Minnesota, and who has been recognized for his excellent research standards with many prestigious awards.
